The office of the Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resource Usage in Volgograd region has conducted an unfinished inspection of ZAO Volzhskiy Ship-Building and Ship Repair Yard. This is reported by the press-service of the office.
The inspection reveals the fact of petroleum products spew into the soil in the area of 90 square meters on the territory of the enterprise. The juridical body was subject to a resolution on soil deterioration and the destruction of the fertile soil layer with harmful substances. The environmental damaged caused by the enterprise was estimated at 96 thousand rubles.
Volzhskiy Ship-Building and Ship Repair Yard was founded in 1961. It is situated on the left bank of the Volgograd Water Reservoir in the Osadnaya Gully (in the vicinity of the undersluices of the Volzhskaya Hydropower plant). It carries out works in construction and repairs of various types of ships.
