On Tuesday the largest Russian private oil company OAO LUKOIL signed the contract on purchasing from OAO Bashneft for 4.768 billion rubles a share of 25.1% in OOO Bashneft-Polyus, which is the owner of the license to use a site of subsurface resources of federal significance including Trebs and Titov oil deposits, the joint press-release of the companies says.
The president of LUKOIL Vagit Alekperov and the president of Bashneft Alexandr Korsik signed the purchase agreement and the joint venture partner agreement.
At the same time Bashneft-Polyus signed the agreement on purchasing 29 prospecting and exploratory wells at the above mentioned deposits for 60 million dollars from OOO LUKOIL-Komi.
“In such a way Bashneft and LUKOIL closed the deal on creating the joint venture to develop Trebs and Titov oil deposits and embarked on the active phase of the project execution”, — the press-release says.
