Three gas turbines for the new fourth generating unit of the Yuzhno-Sakhalinskaya thermal power plant-1 (the plant is services by Sakhalinenergo, the company, which is a part of RAO ES of East) have been delivered. The turbines have been brought from the city of Houston (the United States of America). At present the gas turbines with the total weight of over one thousand tons are being shipped from the port of Korsakov (Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk) to the territory of the thermal power plant.
Due to the use of the new turbines the design capacity of the fourth generating unit of the Yuzhno-Sakhalinskaya TPP-1 is to be reached, it will comprise 139.1 MW with the total heat capacity of 133.5 Gcal per hour. The thermal power plant is to use natural gas as fuel.
