Great Britain, Germany, France, Portugal and USA Are to Build Wind Power Plants in Crimea

Several companies based in Great Britain, Germany, France, Portugal and the USA embarked on the construction of a number of wind-driven power plants with total capacity of 5000 MW in the Crimea.

Such news was broken by the chairman of Council of Ministers of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea Vasiliy Dzharty in his speech at the Council of Regions sitting, according to RBK-Ukraine.

The expected volume of investment is 8 billion euro. Besides, this year the Crimea will see the start of a new project in the field of alternative energy sources with the participation of Greek capital and with the planned amount of financial input of 795 billion euro”. – he said.

According to Head department of communications policy at the Council of Ministers of ARC, the prime-minister of the Republic pointed out that the realization of all these projects will result in the Crimea ‘increasing its electrical energy production thrice and providing for more than one third of its own need for electricity’.

The prime-minister of the Crimea emphasized that stimulating innovative industries and alternative energy is “one of the most important directions in the Republic’s development”.
