In the south of Kazakhstan (Kyzylordy Province) the KAMAZ truck transporting oil turned over. As a result of the accident 30 tons of oil have been spilled, the Ministry for Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan reports.
The accidents took place on Saturday night on the 128th kilometer of the motorway Kyzylorda – Zhezkazgan. The truck driver let the trailer tilt over. Oil spilled out of the 30 cubic meters tank. The oil spill area made up 270 square km.
According to NUR.kz, the soil decontamination works are being carried out at the place of the accident.
