Nuclear-power company Rosatom is planning to open a marketing network office in Kiev on the base of the branch of Atomenergoprom. The enterprise has already been registered in Ukraine as a representative office of Rusatom Overseas (Rosatom company responsible for promoting Russian nuclear power technologies in the global market).
The task of the new office is to develop a mutually beneficial cooperation with the authorities and enterprises of Ukraine in current and new projects the nuclear sphere, to represent the interests of Russian nuclear power enterprises in Ukraine; to attract Ukrainian companies into the global network of suppliers for executing the projects in Ukraine, Russia and other countries. The office is also planning to develop proposals for launching join ventures and obtaining attractive investment assets in the country.
“Ukraine is Rosatom’s biggest partner, because the manufacturing and R&D of our countries are intermittently connected. It is logical that the first office of our corporation’s global network is opened here. I believe that this even would not only strengthen Russian/Ukrainian cooperation by promoting the modern, safe, highly-effective technologies, but would also create the possibility for Ukrainian industry to develop on account of the share [participation in nuclear projects of the Russian Federation”, — A.Merten, the head of the representative office says.
CJSC Rusatom Overseas plays the role of an integrator of complex decisions of Rosatom in the nuclear power industry, which includes the wide range of products and services – starting from producing raw materials (uranium) to building nuclear power plants, personnel training, forming the legal base and attracting funding. The company also manages the development of the Russian nuclear business abroad. Rusatom Overseas is the orderer, the investor and the owner of the Rostom’s foreign projects.
The years 2012 to 2014 are scheduled to see the openings of 18 marketing offices of Rosatom all over the world.
