The devices can work with several tariff plans, and measure not only the volumes of energy consumption but also the capacity.
The complex metering system for measuring electricity consumption based on Smart Metering technology is being successfully installed in Perm. The pilot project is being realized by JSC IDGC Holding. At present next generation meters are being installed in 145 apartment houses. The total number of the assembled metering devices has already reached 13 thousand.
The meters can measure the capacity and volume of energy consumption and this is a very important parameter for grid characteristics calculation.
The Perm project is being realized within the framework of the federal program “Count.Save. Pay”. The project presupposes the installation of about 50 thousand modern electricity meters in Motovilikhinskiy disctrict of the city, as well as in the responsibility zone of the IDGC of the Urals branch – Perenergo. The cost of the program is more than 360 million rubles.
