30% discount for the liquefied gases for the organizations which are a part of the state enterprise Beltopgaz is to be cancelled starting from January 1 2012. Such a decision is contained in the resolution of the Economy Ministry of Belarus # 203 of December 23 2011, the PR department of the Economy Ministry reports.
The cancellation of the discount in connected with the fact that the selling prices and discounts on liquefied gases at the domestic market do not secure the cost efficient operation of manufacturing organizations, the representatives of the ministry explained.
“The liquefied gas is the oil product which is for the most part imported in Belarus. After the devaluation of the Belorussian ruble it has become more expensive as all the imported goods. In the present context selling liquefied gas at the domestic market has become unprofitable. Therefore, the discount is cancelled in order to increase the financial and economic efficiency of the liquefied gases manufacturers while selling them at the domestic market”, — the representatives of the Economy Ministry points out.
