Transneft resumed oil pumping through the Baku-Makhachkala-Novorossiysk pipeline, which had been resumed earlier because of the illegal tie-in.
According to the updated information, 7.4 cubic meters of oil was poured down into the soil. The consequences of the accidents will be eliminated.
The oil pumping was stopped on Tuesday due to the oil leak from the untight illegaql tie-in. It was reported earlier that the leak comprised 5 cubic meters of fuel over the area of 30-35 square meters. The incident took place on the oil pipeline division between the village named after Karl Marx and the village of Vinogradnoe in the Kizlyarskiy district of Dagestan.
Tbhe oil which leaked as a result of the tie-in got into the picked rice field. The tie-in is related to the criminal oil pipelines system, which was created by means of deviated drilling, the total length of which comprises about 12 km. The pipeline is made of plastic, the pipe diameter is about 100 mm, the wall thickness is abot 10 mm, which means that the pipe can hold high pressure.
