Vladivostok is getting ready for the APEC Summit 2012, and within the framework of this preparation the power supply network is being brought into the apple pie order. The Far Eastern Energy Management Company (FEEMC) commissioned a co-generation plant “Tsentralnaya” (its first start-up facility) and a distribution electrical grid 35 KW – on the Russky Island.
As to the purpose of the new electrical grid facilities, their importance is difficult to overestimate because they are aimed at providing electrical energy for the Far Eastern Federal university on the Russky Island (See picture), where the APEC summit is to be held.
The orderer of the project in this case is the Ministry of Regional Development, which executes the program of the development of Vladivostok as a center for international cooperation in the Asian-Pacific Region.
