Wind generators, solar panels and biogas power plant owned by the AltEnergo company have generated in total four million kilowatt-hours of electrical energy. This record-setting parameter was documented at about 12:00 on October 18.
The leader in electrical energy production is still the biogas power plant Luchki in the Prokhorovskiy district with the capacity of 2.4 MW. So far the power plant has produced over 3.7 million kilowatt-hours of “green” energy. The output of solar panels comprised 201 062 kilowatt-hours, the wind generators produced 29 064 kilowatt-hours.
The construction of bio gas power plants is a new innovative approach towards the processing of agricultural waste products. Luchki, which have the capacity of 2.4 MW, can help to dispose of about 75 thousand tons of farm animal waste producing 19.6 million KWh of electrical energy and 18.2 Gcal of heat energy. At the same time it allows to obtain over 66.8 thousand tons of highly efficient environmentally clean bio fertilizers.
The operational procedure at the power plant were started in March 2012. In the middle of June the power plant produced its first bio gas, at the end of June the generators gave out to the grid the first “green” electrical energy, and on August 5 its volume exceeded one million kWh. In September the biogas power plant Luchki reached the designed capacity: the daily maximum of its output amounted to 51 362 kWh.
The project of the biogas power plants construction has the aim of first and foremost raising the energy safery and reducing the environmental impact in the area, where the enterprises of the agro-industrial complex are situated. It is being executed within the framework of the logn-term special purpose program “Creation of production facilities on processing waste products of agro-industrial complex enterprises of the Belgorod region in 2012-2014”.
There are over one thousand enterprises of agro-industrial complex in he region, where about 15 million tons of organic waste are produced every year. By disposing of these waste products at the biogas installations it is possible to get about 230 MW of capacity and thus to provide electrical energy and heat for 75% of population of the region. So far only 5% of electrical energy are produced in the region. In the course of the execution of the regional program on the development of renewable energy sources the share of the renewable electrical energy generated in the region will increase greatly.
