The working meeting of the president of Russian leading power machine-building company EMAlliance Timur Avdeenko with the Minister of Energy Industry and Electrification of the Arab Republic of Egypt Mr Hassa Younis and the representatives of leading Egyptian energy companies.
The participants of the meeting discussed the possibilities of EMAlliance taking part in various projects on both new constructions and upgrading energy objects in Egypt. According to the estimate of the Ministry of Energy Industry and Electrification of Egypt, the increase in energy consumption in the country makes up 5% a year, which demands setting in operation over 9 000 MW of new modern power capacity in the next few years In the course of the meeting the chairman of the managing board of the largest Egyptian energy company East Delta Electricity Production Co. Mr Mahmoud Saad Balbaa pointed out that his company already has positive experience of cooperation with the company Duro Dakovic belonging to LLC EMAlliance. At present this company carries out works directed at technical upgrade of two boiler plants with the total capacity of 300 MW for the 1st and the 2nd units of the ATAKA power plant with the total cost of over 8 million euro and in future they are ready to continue with the reequipment of this object.
The parties highly praised the production references of the Croatian subdivision and modern proposals of Russian engineering branches of LLC EMAlliance for tendering for construction and upgrading of power facilities in Egypt’s territory. The negotiations participants decided to go on with their cooperation and to invite EMAlliance experts to audit potential cooperation objects and to prepare the most actual technical proposals.
Commenting on the outcomes of the negotiations President of LLC EMAlliance Timur Avdeenko pointed out that using references of EMAlliance’s new Croatian subdivision gives the company an opportunity of strengthening their strategic positions in the foreign markets. “Bearing in mind the joint experience of our Russian and European subdivisions in the international market, today we may say with confidence that EMAlliance is fully prepared to carry out most complicated projects based on modern technologies in the field of designing, manufacturing and complete delivery of boiler island equipment for thermal power engineering” – he emphasized.
