The information and analysis center “Kortes” estimates the petrol deficit at the domestic market of the Russian Federation in July at minimum 8%. As the Development and Marketing Director of the center Pavel Strokov explained to the Petroleum Information Agency, the petroleum release to the domestic market in the first half of 2011 comprised 14.8 million tons compared to 15.3 million tons for the same period last year.
“Taking into consideration the demand rise which according to the experts’ estimation makes up 5% we end up in July with the deficit of at least 8% (approximately 1.2 million tons). And this deficit is putting a pressure now on the free market, on the independent fuel filling station owners, and the first indicator of this is a stock exchange trade,” – he pointed out.
The diesel fuel on average in Russia has risen by 274 rubles a ton and cost 22 740 rub./t. It has become the most expensive in the Central federal district – by 633 rubles a ton and reached 22 850 rubles a ton.
