Within the next few months Ukraine is to sign five international contracts on gas production on land, due to which the Ukrainian gas production will have increased by 25 billion cubic meters a year by 2015. This was stated by the Ukrainian Minister of Energy and Coal Mining Yury Boiko.
“In the next two months we are going to sign five more contracts with international companies…on producing gas on land. This will give us extra 1 billion cubic meters for the next year and 2 billions for 2013 and 2014 each. This means that in January 1 2015 our country will be producing not 20 billion as of today but 25 billion cubic meters”, — Boiko says.
