OAO Kurganskiy Chemical Machinery Building Plant (Kurganhimmash) signed the contract with the national holding company Uzbekneftegaz on delivering petrochemical equipment for the modernization of Mubarekskiy gas processing plant in the Kashkadaryinskaya region in the south of Uzbekistan. The cost of the equipment ordered from Kurganhimmash is 12.5 million American dollars. This was reported by the management of the national holding company Uzbekneftegaz on Friday.
The representative of the Uzbek holding specified that the Russian company won a tender on a plug-and-produce delivery of petrochemical equipment (absorber and desorber apparatuses, auxiliary equipment) within the framework of the construction of two universal elements of desulfurization with the total capacity of 4 billion cubic meters a year. The equipment delivery period is the third quarter of 2013.
The contract is to be financed from Uzbekneftegaz own funds.
It was reported earlier that in 2012 Uzbekneftegaz is to complete the modernization of Mubarekskiy gas processing plant the total cost of which is estimated at 171.8 million dollars.
According to the data of the company the project includes the construction of phase 7 of gas desulfurization which would consists of the three (16th, 17th and 18th ) universal elements with the total capacity of 6 billion cubic meters a year. The contractors of the construction are the subdivisions of Uzbekneftegaz. This August saw putting into operation the 18th element.
