The Chuvash power supply company reports the increase in the electricity consumption during the semi-final and the final of the World Hockey Championship – 2012 (it took place on May 19-20 in Finland).
According to the information from the company, during the broadcast of the semi-final, in which the Russian team played with the Czech one, Chuvash power supply company delivered to the customers 782.4 thousand KWh of electricity in the time slot from 15:00 to 18:00. This parameter exceeds the one of the last year by 5.48%.
Besides, on Sunday 20.05.2012 during the final match with the Slovakian team, which was broadcast in Chuvashia from 21:00 to 00:00 local time, the consumption of electrical energy to the residents of Chuvashia was recorded at the level of 784.8 thousand KWh, and this is by 4.63 more than a year ago.
Daily consumption of electrical energy in Chuvashia, according to the data of the Chuvash power supply company on May 19 and May 20 comprised 5 823.33 thousand KWh and 5 585.97 thousand KWh of electrical energy respectively. This is by 3.17% and 4.77% more than the same parameters of last year.
