Youth innovative forum “Energy efficiency and safety” started its work on July 10 in the vicinity of Obninsk (Kaluga region).
The forum is organized by the state corporation Rosatom under the support of the Energy Ministry of the Russian Federation and the administration of Kaluga region. The partners of the event are the Autonomous Non-Commercial Organization “Informational Centers of Nuclear Industry”, Youth Association of Young Atomic Scientists and the International association of corporate education. According to Rosatom press-service, the forum is sponsored by the Rosatom fuel company TVEL and Risenergoatom Concern JSC
The participants of the forum are employees of nuclear enterprises representing all the directions of Rosatom activity, from разделительно-сублиматного комплекса to scientific research. JSC RusHydro and Schneider Electric have also sent their delegations.
The key component of the forum is a vast educational program, the main topics of which are innovations (including such an actual aspect as commercialization of innovations), energy efficiency and efficient use of resources in the enterprises, safety (with the main emphasis on safety culture), the strategy of domestic energy industry development. Separate talks and workshops on such issues as foresight, project management, patent science, the implementation of Rosatom production system etc are expected to take place at the forum. The audience of the forum will have the chance to hear the talks by Deputy Directors General of the State corporation Rosatom Nickolay Solomon and Vyacheslav Pershukov, Director General of the JSC «Концерн Росэнергоатом» Sergey Obozov, Vice-President of JSC TVEL Petr Lavrenyuk and other top managers.
The forum will also host the second stage of the Branch competition of youth innovative projects “Innovative leader in nuclear industry”. The participants of the competitions are young nuclear industry employees (with individual projects or as groups) who authored innovative projects and project ideas. During the second stage they will have to defend their projects in front of their colleagues and the expert community. 40 projects made their way to the second stage, 20 of them will be selected by the experts. The winners of the competition will get money prizes.
The forum works till July 16.
