FGC UES and Russian Technologies to Increase Stability of Russian Power Grids

The Federal grid company (FSK UES) and the Russian Technologies State Corporation will develop the plant of joint events aimed at raising the stability of the power grid complex of the Russian Federation and implementing the advanced technologies at the local level. In the course of the meeting, which took place the day before, on October 29 2012, the General Director of the Russian Technologies Sergei Chemezov and the Chairman of the Managing Board of OAO FGC UES Oleg Budargin signed the corresponding agreement, as well as discussed the execution of the joint projects, which had been started earlier, and the perspective fields of cooperation in the sphere of reliability and safety.

Opening the meeting Oleg Budargin pointed out that so far they have developed rather tight and fruitful cooperation between the enterprises of the Russian Technologies State Corporation and the FGC UES, which he represents. The Chairman of the Managing Board of the Federal Grid Company paid special attention to the projects of the Situational-Analytical Center and the Complex automated safety control system, which were implemented with the participation of the Russian Telecom Equipment Company.

Budargin declared that both projects, which are — by the way – quite large-scale ones covering the whole territory of Russia, are merely the fist steps in the execution of the cooperation agreement, which was signed by the parties in April 2011. There is a lot to be done: in particular, today FGC UES together with the Research and Production Enterprise Contact is developing unique vacuum circuit breaker , which is scheduled for presentation in April of 2013. It will be manufactured exclusively in Russia for the needs of the domestic grid complex, and also exported to the neighboring countries and beyond.
In his turn Sergei Chemezov pointed out that the relationship between FGC UES and the Russian Technologies is not only tight but also dynamic. The cooperation enabled raising the energy efficiency and reliability of the serviced power grids, reducing the cost of their operation, which is crucial for the power grid industry.
