Gazprom and EdF
OAO Gazprom and the French group EdF, one of the leaders of the
European energy market, signed an agreement on the joint construction
and acquisition of the gas power plants in Europe, the press-release
of the company says.
«The document presupposes the possibility of both the joint
construction and the acquisition of the already existing gas power
plant share and share alike. The agreement also contains the clause
according to which Gazprom will be the exclusive gas supplier for the
needs of the jointly owned power plants«, — the representative of the
company points out.
The agreement was signed on Friday summing up the results of the
working meeting of Gazprom CEo Alexey Miller and the president/CEO of
EdF Henri Proglio, which took place within the framework of the St.
Petersburg international Economic Forum.
