On October 25-26, 2012 the World Trade Center in Moscow will be hosting the seventh International Energy Week «International Energy Week, 2012» — the summit the laureates of the international award «Global Energy».
This year’s Forum for the first time combines the jubilee congress of the laureates of the international award «Global Energy» and the traditional activities of the International Energy Week.
The co-organizers of the forum are: the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Non-commercial Partnership «Global Energy» and the Information and Consulting Center «Roskon» with the support the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.
In the program of the forthcoming forum a lot of attention attention will be devoted to discussing the conditions for sustainable development of world energy, the ways of cooperation in the technological upgrade of the energy sector and investment prospects of implementation of international infrastructure projects.
The leaders of OPEC, IEA, GECF, IEF, IAEA, OECD NEA, the Ministries of Energy and Natural Resources of 53 countries are invited to participate in discussions.
In 2012, in response to Russia’s presidency in BASREC within the IEW it is planned to organize a joint round table «Partnership of the Baltic Sea Region in the field of clean energy: achievements and prospects. Biomass «.
In the context of Russia’s accession to the Nuclear Energy Agency (NEA OECD) from January 1, 2013 the Organizing Committee of IEW and the OECD NEA Secretariat agreed to hold a joint round table «Peaceful Atom: Innovation and security» on the first day of the forum.
According to the organizing committee, the discussion of the urgent issues of global energy development, business meetings and negotiations with the government and the companies in the program «IEW 2012» will develop international energy dialogue and thpromote the products and services of Russian and foreign companies in international markets.
