The new investigation of the events which caused the accident at the Japanese nuclear power plant Fukushima-1 is to begin in January 2012. The investigation will be resumed by the nuclear scientists who were engaged in the analysis of this disaster before.
According to the preliminary investigation process strategy the nuclear experts are to be divided into four groups. The investigation committee will be totally independent from the state. It will have to carry out a survey of a large number of Fukushima-1 employees as well as the staff of the managing company of the nuclear power plant – TEPCO. The survey will include those employees who left their workplaces shortly before the disaster as well as those who were present at the plant at the time when the accident started; the analysis will touch upon the actions of the high officials and the Japanese ex-prime minister Naoto Kan.
