The net profit of OAO Murmanskaya thermal power plant according to the Russian Accounting Standards for the first 6 months of this year comprised 108.2 million rubles against the negative profit of 137.5 million rubles in 2010.
The revenue for the accounting period rose by 14.12% compared to the 1st half of 2010 and made up 2.5 billion rubles.
OAO Murmanskaya thermal power plant (a part of OAO TGC-1) has been created as a result of spin-off drom OAO Kolenergo and has been registered as a juridical body on October 1 2005. The principal types of the company’s activity are the electrical and thermal energy production, as well as transmission and delivery of thermal energy to customers.
Thermal power plants are one of the main heating sources of Murmansk, providing about 70% of thermal capacity of the city.
