In October 2011 the power generating units of the Novovoronezhskaya nuclear power plant generated 948,067 million kWh of electrical energy, 880 818 million KWh of electrical energy was released into the electric power system.
Altogether since the beginning of 2011 the electricity production comprised 5721, 584 million KWh. 5174,743 million KWh of electrical energy was released into the electric power system.
At present the power generating unit 4 is in the process of scheduled preventive maintenance and refueling. The power generating units 3 and 5 operated in standard conditions in October.
Radiation background in the vicinity of the nuclear power plant and the adjoining territories is on the level complying with the normal operation of power generating units and does not exceed the natural background magnitudes characteristic of the Central European Russia.
