An ex-employee of Rosneft-Stavropol’e which owns the network of 16 fuel filling stations in the Stavropol Territory, Vladimir Tyurin accuses the management of the oil company in discreditable practices.
According to the 62-year –old retired man, all the fuel filling stations belonging to Rosneft-Stavropol’eare equipped with special programs, which allow to pump less gas into a car’s jar than the driver paid for. As Tyurin pointed out, the management of the company never registered this money officially, and through the years of practicing this scheme they’ve accumulated considerable sums — the amount of under-fill per every 10 liters of fuel was no less than 0,5 l.
Vladimir Tyurin says that he began to fight with the fraud of the Rosneft-Stavropol’e management back in the days when he was still employed by the company, but he and several other employees who refused to participate in the management’s schemes, were simply made to leave. But the pensioner was determined not to give up, he collected the proof of scheming, turned to the local law enforcement agencies for help and also wrote a letter to the president.
Besides, the campaigner for drivers’ right has serious reasons to be under apprehension for his life — last year he had a miraculous escape after a grenade was fixed under his car. Vladimir Tyurin says that he still receives threats from the managers of Rosneft-Stavropol’e while law enforcement authorities did not even initiate a criminal case over the attempt against his life.
The retired man called the Stavropol Territory ‘the most corrupted region of Russia’ and emphasized that the interests of common people are not protected in this country.
