OAO TMK one of the world’s largest manufacturers of pipes for oil and gas complex, has shipped solid-drawn line pipes to the Gazprom company to equip the subsea pipeline of the Kirinskoye gas-condensate field on the shelf of the Sakhalin island. This was reported by the press-service of TMK.
The shipment included solid-drawn line pipes of X65 grade (for the surface part of the pipeline) and SMLS 450 FD (for the underwater part) with the outer three-layer polypropylene coating manufactured by the Taganrog metallurgy plant and Volzhsky pipe plant.
The shipped produce is meant for construction of production facilities at the Kirinskoe gas-condensate field, which is being exploited by Gazprom within the framework of the project Sakhalin-3 on the Sakhalin shelf in the Sea of Okhotsk. Starting from 2014 the Kirinskoe gas-condensate field is to become one of the gas sources for the gas transportation system “Sakhalin – Khabarovsk — Vladivostok”. The gas deposits of this field comprise 75.4 billion cubic meters of gas and 8.6 million tons of gas condensate.
“This shipment has been carried out by TMK within the framework of the Offshore program which we are actively developing as a strategic direction of our activities aimed at expanding the high-tech premium segment of the company’s business, — the TMK CEO Alexander Shiryaev comments. – The technical specifications for the solid-drawn line pipes for the Kirinskoe gas field have been specially developed in cooperation with Gasprom VNIIGAZ (the Scientific-Research Institute of Natural Gases and Gas Technologies) in accordance with the requirements of the sanitary engineering department of Gazprom which are considerably stricter than the international standards requirements for the subsea pipeline systems including the DNV-OS-F101 standard.”
