The Moscow-based company Slavneftgaz is planning to build an oil refinery with totaling to 1.9 billion American dollars in the Starodubskiy district of the Bryansk region, the Director General of ye company Vyacheslav Dubinnikov said at the regional economic forum on Tuesday.
The corresponding agreement was signed on Tuesday by the Director General of Slavneftegaz and the Governor of the Bryansk region Nikolay Denin.
According to Dubinnikov, Slavneftegaz has already registered the trademark “Bryansk Oil Refinery” and has started the pre-design stage of construction works.
The project is planned to be executed in 3-3.5 years, at present the investment portfolio is being formed, the Director General of the company says. “We have a lot of partners, a lot of investors but much will depend on the state, too. No such plants have been built for 20 years”, — he points out.
According to the plan, the enterprise if to refine from 300 thousand tons of oil a month, which means about 3.7 million tons a year. At the same time, as Mr Dubinnikov assures the level of oil refining will be very high, and there will be no environmental threats.
He noted that the Bryansk region has not only favorable investment climate but also a convenient geopolitical location. An enterprise like theirs will benefit from being located next to Ukraine and Belarus and not far from Poland, he says.
The enterprise is planned to create about two thousand highly-paid jobs.
OOO Slavneftegaz was registered in Moscow in 2007 and deals with wholesale trade including fuel.
