On November 26 2011 the fourth generating unit of the Kurskaya NPP was connected to the power grid after the outage period, the public information center of the Kurskaya nuclear power plant reports.
The generating unit was commissioned in compliance with the requirements of the process regulations for safe operation.
It is worth reminding that the generating unit was stopped on Wednesday at 22:28.
The radiation background at the nuclear power plant and the adjacent territory is at the level corresponding to the normal operation of generating units and does not exceed the natural background parameters.
At present generating units 1,2,3 and 4 of the Kurskaya nuclear power plant are in operation. They are operating on the capacity defined by the dispatch schedule.
