The Ukrainian MPs supported the draft law which would simplify obtaining the licenses for land plots with the aim of carrying out exploration works to identify energy potential within the framework of renewable energy projects.
It has been reported that 239 deputies of the Verkhovna Rada (Parliament of Ukraine) out of the 279 registered in the sitting hall (the absolute majority) have voted for the amendments into the existing legislation in the first reading.
This draft law suggests simplifying the existing permit procedure for obtaining a land slot where the exploration works aimed at defining energy potential are to be carried out. This means that starting from now according to the new document the construction of power facilities which use renewable energy sources is to be carried out in the territories which are more economically suitable for that purpose.
