MES of West Siberia Completed the repairs of the second autotransformer with the capacity of 125 MWA at the substation 220 KW Kosmos (the Khanty-Mansiisk autonomous district — Yugra). The works were conducted within the framework of the repair campaign 2012.
The substation 220 KW Kosmos with the transformer capacity of 250 MVA was commissioned in 1985. It provides electricity supply for the consumers in the city of Nizhnevartovsk and the Nizhnevartovsk district of Yugra, including the deposits of the companies belonging to the oil and gas complex of the region – OAO TNK-BP and OAO Slavneft.
In the course of the works at the substation 220 KW Kosmos oil degassing, insulation drying and cleaning was carried out. The rubber strips were inspected and replaced, the bearing parts in the oil pumps and the engines in the cooling fans were replaced. After the tests the autotransformer is to be put under operating load.
