Biogas is to be produced from whey and waste waters in the town of Vileyka in Belarus.
This renewable energy project is being executed by the Vileyka branch of OAO Molodechna Milk Factory. The foundation of the plant is ready, the design specifications and estimates have already been developed, all the necessary equipment has been purchased. The object’s commissioning is scheduled for the second quarter of 2012.
Apart from energy , the construction of this biogas plant will solve the environmental problem. The plant in Vileyka specializes in casein production, with more than 100 tons of whey produced there annually, which is a big environmental threat for the region.
