The power engineers of the OJSC MUEGC – the Eastern Electrical Grids are planning to carry out works on extending the forest corridors for 170 overhead power transmission lines. The works are being carried out at the routes of overhead lines 35-220 and 0.4-10 KW. As of mid-April this year 17 brigades (the total number of staff – 120 people) and 10 units of custom vehicles are engaged into standing the forest corridors.
In the first quarter of the year the works on clearing the corridors were carried out at 31 overhead power transmission lines with the total area of 272 ha. On an accrual basis the works on 28.3 ha have been completed. This includes 92% of wood forest cut, the trunks cleared of branches and put in staples for further transportation.
All the works are carried out in full compliance with the schedule and with as soon as stable warm weather comes their amount will be increased.
