Within the framework of the pilot project Ekaterinburg is to switch to the closed heat-supply system by 2018, the press-service of the Ministry of Energy and the Housing and public Utilities of Sverdlovsk region.
A transition of the communal infrastructure of the city to the closed system of heat supply will not only allow to raise the stability of heat supply of the capital city of the Urals, but also bring the quality of the potable and non-potable water supply and water discharge in compliance with the regulations.
The major difference of the “closed” head-supply system from the “open” one consists in the fact that hot water, which is necessary for heating the premises is not taken from the common system of heat supply, as it happens now, but gets heated in the individual systems, or else in the central heat points aimed for servicing one or several houses.
According to the information from the deputy head of the department on cooperation with authorities of ZAO “KES” Gleb Kryukov, at present the specific organizational and technical events are being developed, and their execution is to be started in 2012. The project is supposed to be funded from the regional, federal and local budgets, as well as by means of investor’s funds.
