The electrical energy production in the Unified Energy System of Russia for the four months comprised 373.1 billion KWh, which is by 2% more than for the same period of 2011.
In April the electrical energy production in the Russian Federation decreased slightly (by 0.6%) compared to the same period of last year and comprised 82.9 billion KWh, says the press-release of the System Operator of UES.
At the same time the power plants of the UES of Russia produced 81.1 billion KWh in April – by 0.7% less than last April.
The demand for electrical energy in the UES of Russia in April was mainly satisfied by the thermal power plants, the production of which comprised 50.7 billion KWh, which is by 0.9% less than in April 2011. The energy production by hydro power plants for the same period comprised 11.9 billion KWh (by 10.2% less than the level of 2011), the energy production by nuclear power plants – 14.4 billion KWh (by 9.8% more than the level of 2011).
