This year the authorities of the Odessa region intends to launch more than 30 renewable energy projects on-site.
The vice-chairman of the Odessa Regional Administration Alexander Malinin said that the total capacity of the solar energy projects both planned and being executed at the moment at the territory of the Odessa region already exceeds 240 MWt. There are also four wind power projects which are at the preconceptual study stage. There are projects of new buildings equipped with solar collecting panels.
Besides, this year will see the start of an annual scheduled reel cutting, reel being briquetted and used for burning in the boiler houses of the communal enterprises of the region.
