As the press-service of the branch of IDGC of North-West — Komienergo – reports, within the last two days from 15.02.2012 to 16.02.2012 the power grids of the company had two cases of power line breaks and in the town of Sosnogorsk the emergency brigade had to replace two ferroconcrete transmission towers during the night.
In each case the emergency situation was caused by people – the representatives of outside organizations which were carrying out some works on the site of power line breaks.
The press-service of Komienergo points out that since the beginning of 2012 they have recorded five cases of such breaks and in all the cases it is outside organizations that are to blame. In the first three cases the accidents were caused by a vehicle driving into the transmission tower. The lawyers are preparing relevant acts at the moment.
The experts of Komienergo are specially emphasizing that “the territory where the power line goes is considered to be a protective one where one has to be especially attentive and cautious. The works in the protective zone may be carries out only with the permission obtained from power engineers and all the safety measures provided for.
