Due to the thunderstorm front in the Leningrad Region 12 thousand people were left without electricity.
A thunderstorm which broke out yesterday in the Leningrad Region caused point power cuts. As a result in the morning the residents of the six municipal districts – Kingiseppskiy, Gatchinskiy, Slantsevskiy, Luzhskiy, Lomonosovskiy and Volosovskiy (12 thousand people in total) – found themselves without electricity.
The cause of the power cut was the automatic protection response in several transformer substations as a result of the thunderstorm front.
The full list of disconnected objects contains 4 electric power lines, 207 transformer substations, 89 residential areas. There are no socially important objects in the tripping zone.
At present the emergency crews of the JSC Lenenergo electric grids are restoring power supply.
