In his speech at the opening of the Moscow Energy Week the Energy Minister of Tussian Sergei Shmatko said that in the coming years the Russian oil refining industry will receive 20-25 billion American dollars of investment. According to the minister this will enable escaping from the present day situation, when Russia exports black oil, which is being sold at a very low price with the aim of refining it into ‘lighter’ oil products abroad.
The minister said that Russia intends to increase the depth of oil refining.
The total amount of the planned investment into the oil in gas industry of the Russian Federation is 100-150 billion dollars.
As the deputy Minister of Energy Industry Anatoly Yanovsky pointed out in his co-report they are planning to create up to 90 million tons of new energy generating capacities.
