The violations of legislation which regulates the prescription of tariffs for electrical energy was revealed by the Public Prosecutor’s Office while inspecting the work of OAO Managing Company of Soviet District in Voronezh. Such a statement was made by the Chief Assistant Prosecutor of the Voronezh region Mikhail Usov on December 28.
In the course of the inspection the Public Prosecutor’s Office found out that OAO Managing Company of Soviet District charges the residents of house #46 in Geroev Sibisyakov street for the volume of electrical energy used for lighting the common spaces basing their calculation on the rate of 7 KWh for lighting the common spaces with no common metering devices. This, as the representative of the Public Prosecutor’s Office points out, contradicts the norms of the Housing Code of the Russian Federation and the rules of communal services provision approved of by the resolution of the government of the Russian Federation “On the procedure of communal services provision to the citizens”.
In order to reinstate the rights of the residents of the apartment house the public prosecutor made a submission to the director of OAO Managing Company of Soviet District on the remedy of defaults and impose disciplinary liability on the guilty persons.
