TNK-BP introduced ‘zero tolerance’ principle in relation to any kind of violation of business ethics, the statement of the company’s press-service says.
The members of the ethics committee of TNK-BP summed up the preliminary results of loyalty and fair practices program aimed at the prevention of ethical rules and norms violation by the employees of the company. This program is a constituent part of TNK-BP multi-level anti-fraud and anti-corruption system.
The oil company has a hotline by means of which both internal and external telephone calls reporting possible violations are received. The hotline phone has received 584 calls since the start of the year, the investigation results confirmed 565 violation reports, 37 criminal cases have been filed and 92 persons have been charged.
Apart from that TNK-BP created a special fund for awarding the citizens who have reported the coming illegal actions or facts of inflicting damages to the oil company. Such award can reach up to 10% of the amount of the compensated or prevented damage.
