Minenergo (the Energy Ministry of the Russian Federation) counts on resuming the Russian energy companies operation in Libya and in reviving the cooperation in the sphere of the energy industry between the two countries, the head of the International cooperation department of Minenergo Alexander Sukhov said at the press-conference.
‘Minenergo is hoping of resuming such a cooperation and its revival’, – he said.
Sukhov pointed out that the restoration of links between Russia and Libya would be based on energy cooperation.
He reminded that that among the Russian companies operating in Libya there were such companies as Gazprom and Tatneft. The investment of the Russian companies into Libyan projects are estimated at one billion dollars
